We are super stoked about all of the awesome things we have lined up for the month of February. Not only is it Black History Month but it is also a time to celebrate love with the people that are important to you on Valentine’s Day, couch it up with some delicious treats for the Big Game and get your fill of the Bae Bowl that is only available this month! In celebration of Black History Month we’ve partnered with Black Girls Surf, a totally rad organization committed to providing surf education, training, and opportunities to young black surfers everywhere.
Black Girls Surf was founded by US Coast Guard veteran Rhonda Harper, who noticed a lack of visibility within professional surfing and decided to become the black badass surf mentor that she didn’t have when she was young. To date, Black Girls Surf has sent hundreds of young black athletes to train and compete in surf competitions all over the world.
We will be collecting donations all month long at participating locations! You can round your purchase up to the nearest dollar or make an additional donation in store when you come in to buy your favorite bowl or smoothie. We are also working on a beach cleanup in Belmar, New Jersey in partnership with the Surfrider Foundation so stay tuned for more details on how to participate!
