Pineappleland 2.0 - Playa Bowls Launches New Website & Brand Refresh

Hello, all! As we continue to open new stores across the country, and hear from our community about how important online ordering is throughout the year, I decided that it was time for a complete overhaul of our digital ecosystem. If you’re reading this, you’re probably already noticing some significant changes!

Over the past few months, I’ve been working with our marketing team to reimagine the brand and how it is represented on our digital platforms. My biggest challenge was to maintain the look and feel of our in-store experience while freshening things up online with a few new looks and some updated features. I’m so proud of what we were able to accomplish and hope that you’re all loving the new look and feel! Let me introduce a few of our new aspects of your website.

A main priority in the redesign of our website has been representing, as close as possible, the same visual experience that a Playa customer would feel if they were in one of our physical locations. This all starts with imagery and design. Collaborating with some amazing individuals, we held a super fun photo shoot over the summer to shoot each of our bowls, recreating the mouth-watering experience of looking down into your favorite bowl. Through our updated “Menu” tab, you will find each one of our bowls, along with nutritional info coming soon and a direct online order button for each.

We’ve crafted all our bowls and smoothies with tons of love and attention to ingredients, and its important to us that our customers know what’s in them, and why we have chosen the ingredients we have. Under our new “Superfoods” tab, you can now read up on the key superfoods that provide the basis for what we offer at Playa bowls and the benefits each provides.

Community, and community building have been themes of this company since Day 1 of this adventure. With the goal of strengthening the community around our stores, we’ve launched the “Happenings” page on our site, where you can keep up with all events Playa in your area. We’ve also launched a new location map – where you can browse Playa Bowls locations by state or by entering your address – making it easier than ever to stop by the location nearest you. Additionally, we’ve updated, and added to, our Franchise Page with information for anyone interested in opening a Playa Bowls location of their own.

Another key feature of our new website, an aspect we are very excited about, is our new and improved Online Ordering Platform. Central to this new platform is our Login Feature, where customers can view past orders and easily reorder a favorite. Unsure of which bowl it was that you loved so much? Looking for a lightning-quick re-order of your “usual” – it’s right there in your customer profile, just one click from your door.

We’ve also updated our customization feature, with more choices to make your bowl, YOU. This updated feature also makes things easier on our staff, helping us ensure that your bowl is always exactly the way you like.

We will also be introducing a brand new loyalty app in the near future, another step to help us communicate seamlessly with our loyal customers. Through the app, customers will be able to collect loyalty points with each purchase to be used as credit in future orders! As you can imagine, this is a big lift on our side, but one that we know will bring us closer with our customers. To help us make sure we are getting it right, we will have a suggestions tab on the app where tips and comments on where you think we might be able to improve the app, our ordering system or any other aspect of our digital offering can be sent directly to our team.
