Towns to Visit This Summer at the Jersey Shore

There’s no place like the Jersey Shore (or ‘the beach’ to us locals). We have over 100 miles of beautiful coastline, lined up all along the Atlantic Ocean, and some of the best beachfront towns in the country. It’s what inspired us to create the very first Playa Bowls, across from the Belmar boardwalk, and has continued to bring a little piece of our home all across the nation. We love it so much we even started our own Playa Bowls Surf Team

Whether you’re from the Jersey Shore or looking to visit, here are 12 towns to visit this summer at the Jersey Shore, in order from southernmost to northernmost (there’s even a Playa Bowls in each spot!).

Cape May

Cape May is located at the southernmost tip of New Jersey, and holds the title as the OG of summer vacations (the historic Congress Hall is America’s first seaside resort). Plus, the town itself is lined with Victorian style homes that you can explore by trolley.

Wildwood

Want endless fun? This Jersey Shore town has 38 blocks of boardwalk amusement. Head to the Doo Wop Museum, rent a golf cart, try go-cart racing, or hang out on any one of the three piers. There’s something for everyone!

Stone Harbor

Not all summer days need to be so busy. That’s why we love the quiet, breezy seaside town of Stone Harbor. There’s no boardwalk to attract too many tourists, only the sandy shoreline.

Sea Isle City

Visit this Jersey Shore town, known as a ‘sportsman’s paradise’, where you can sail, surf, and paddle all day long.

Ocean City

Ocean City, New Jersey (not to be confused with Maryland) is a dry town perfect for families. Explore Gillian’s Wonderland Pier or take a surf lesson from the shore.

LBI

Love the beach but want more to do? LBI is the town to visit at the Jersey Shore this summer. We have two locations in Surf City and Beach Haven. LBi is also home to the NJ Maritime Museum, the Surflight Theater, and the Long Beach Island Museum.

Seaside Heights

This is a busy seaside town, full of activity, that should be on your list of towns to visit this summer at the Jersey Shore. You can spend hours at Casino Pier. And be sure to take a ride on the Sky Ride!

Point Pleasant

Boardwalk, beach, aquarium? Point Pleasant has just enough to do without being bored but still remains a laid back community.

Manasquan

Manasquan has a small town charm that makes it a place you have to visit this summer while at the Jersey Shore. Boutiques, galleries, and plenty of special activities to choose from.

Belmar

Belmar might be known as a party town, but to us it’s home—it’s where Pineappleland began. Visit the Playa Bowls location that started it all.

Asbury Park

This revitalized community is a destination for arts and music. Probably why Travel and Leisure named it one of America’s best beaches in 2022!

Pier Village

Pier Village is located in the iconic beach destination of Long Branch, and a must stop spot along the Jersey Shore.

Sea Bright

Plenty of parking and places it eat in Sea Bright — including Playa Bowls! Perfect spot to soak up the sun, have some fun and surf.
