Vendor Code of Conduct

The Playa Bowls “Code of Conduct” sets fourth our standards and guidance for conducting business responsibly and with integrity and for living up to our mission of bringing healthier options to our communities through our delicious bowls and we stand by that today! We serve our communities with the highest quality, innovative products to support healthier lifestyles and inspire a world of fun, excitement, and togetherness.

Playa Bowls conducts its business activities with integrity and in full compliance with the laws and regulations that govern those activities, and with consideration of Playa Bowls values.

Playa Bowls strives to be a great company by employing business standards and practices that produce social, environmental, and economic benefits for the communities where we do business. We believe that conducting business responsibly benefits society as well as our employees, customers, suppliers, and our communities. Playa Bowls expects the same from our vendors and suppliers.

Our vendors and suppliers do business in various countries of diverse cultural, social, and economic circumstances. We strive to partner with vendors and suppliers that are committed to our universal principles of operating their business in a responsible and ethical manner, respecting the rights of individuals, and protecting our environment.

Verification of compliance to the Code of Conduct is subject to audits by Playa Bowls or by a designated third party. Failure to comply or work with Playa Bowls to correct are grounds for termination.

As a Playa Bowls vendor or supplier, you must uphold the following:

• Compliance of Laws and Regulation
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and/or standards regarding food safety, health, and labor
  • Maintain financial records and reports in compliance with any and all such applicable laws, regulations, and/or standards
• Fair Labor and Human Rights Practices
  • Adhere to fair labor practices, including compliance with minimum wage laws, anti-discrimination laws, force, and child labor laws in vendor operations and the operations of all aspects of the vendors supply chain
• Ethical Business Standards
  • Conduct business ethically and with honesty, integrity, and transparency
  • Bribery, corruption, and fraudulent activities are expressly prohibited
• Food Safety and Quality
  • All products must meet the safety and quality standards specified by Playa Bowls and relevant regulatory bodies
  • Vendors and suppliers must have effective food safety management systems, including without limitation traceability back to the original source location as to any and all Product ingredients and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points). Vendors and suppliers agree to provide any supporting documentation requested by Playa Bowls.
• Environmental Responsibility
  • Demonstrate positive/beneficial welfare, economic improvement, and sustainability of the people and places that produce our products
  • Meet or exceed all local laws and standards for environmental protection and minimize the negative impact of vendor/supplier operations
• Confidentiality
  • Protect confidential information and intellectual property
  • Information obtained through the business relationship must not be disclosed without proper authorization
• Conflict of Interest
  • Vendors and suppliers must disclose and avoid any conflicts of interest that may compromise their ability to act in the best interests of Playa Bowls
  • Ensuring that business decisions are made in the best interest of Playa Bowls
• Continuous Improvement
  • Commitment to monitoring, reporting, and verifying compliance to this code
  • Pursue continuous improvement in these social, legal, moral, and environmental principles
• Gifts and Gratuities
  • Vendor shall not give or receive any excessive or lavish gifts or other favors of material value with the intent or effect of unfairly or improperly influencing a business decision or of obtaining an unwarranted advantage. Vendor shall use good judgment, discretion, and moderation with business meals and/or entertaining any employees of Playa Bowls.
